Q: I’m having trouble registering. Is there someone I can contact for help?
A: Yes, our Web Help Team is available by e-mail at webhelp@ascd.org or feel free to submit your query online. Our Service Center is also available from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. eastern time, Monday through Friday, at 1-800-933-ASCD (2723) in the United States and Canada.

Once the conference begins, we will be available during the following times:
  • On Friday, March 23, and Saturday, March 24, we will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. eastern time.
  • On Sunday, March 25, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. eastern time.
  • On Monday, March 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. eastern time.

On Friday and Monday only, we will also be available by phone at 1-800-933-ASCD (2723) in the United States and Canada, or for international callers at +1-703-578-9600, press 1, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. eastern time.
Q: When can I test my access to the platform?
A: You will be able to access the Virtual Conference platform starting February 15, 2012. We suggest that you test your access before the event date to help avoid any problems during the Virtual Conference. If you have trouble logging in, you can contact our Web Help or Service Center teams via the contact information above.
Q: What are the system requirements to view the live video stream?
A: The video broadcast is available on the most common Internet browsers and operating systems and on most mobile devices.
Browser Compatibility: • Internet Explorer 8+ • Mozilla Firefox 3+ • Safari 4.x • Google Chrome 10+
Operating System Compatibility: • Windows XP • Windows Vista • Windows 7 • Apple Mac OS 10.5.x (Safari or Firefox)
Smartphone Browser Compatibility: Browser-based smart phones that can play wmv and Mp4 files will be able to play all videos and take advantage of the functionality of the platform. These include iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), Android phones, and Windows-based phones. To help ensure the best quality, upgrade your browser to the most recent version and make sure to test your access before the event.
Q: I was able to log in, but what do I do if I need technical help or can’t see the video?
A: If you have issues involving the performance of the platform, first make sure that you’re using a compatible browser and that you are logged in to the Virtual Conference platform. If you have an outdated operating system, you might have issues viewing the live stream.

It’s important to check the system requirements and your log-in information prior to the event so that we can help you work out issues beforehand. For those still having problems, contact our vendor’s technical support staff at ASCD@social27.com
Q: I am unable to comment on the video or ask questions virtually. What did I do?
A: You need to make sure that you’re signed on to the ASCD EDge® social networking platform in the same browser and at the same time that you’re watching the Virtual Conference broadcast. The comments module on the page only recognizes users who are logged into ASCD EDge. If you’re not logged in, go to http://edge.ascd.org and sign in. Then refresh the Virtual Conference page (you may have to clear your cache first).
Q: Why do I need an ASCD EDge social networking platform account?
A: To post questions and comments and interact with other participants, you need an account on ASCD EDge, our social networking platform for educators. When you register for the Virtual Conference, we will create that profile account for you automatically if you don’t already have one. You can continue to take advantage of the ASCD EDge community after the event is over. If you wish to disable your ASCD EDge account after the event, simply e-mail website@ascd.org.
Q: Can I earn academic credit for attending?
A: It is not ASCD's policy to provide clock hours or CEU credits except through our university partners. We do provide a certificate of attendance for each attendee which will be e-mailed to you following the completion of Virtual Conference.
Q: Does ASCD offer a guarantee of satisfaction?
A: Yes. Your satisfaction is guaranteed! Our goal is to exceed your expectation for quality products and service. If within 45 days of purchasing access to the 2012 ASCD Virtual Conference you feel that we have fallen short of this goal, we will give you a voucher that can be applied to a future professional development event within the next year following your purchase.
